GOREY RESOURCE CENTER SHOP FOR LOW VISION AIDS

Over 1400 square feet of space at DIO is devoted to the visually impaired and blind. Within that area is the Gorey Resource Center shop. This unique facility is staffed by Friends of Vision volunteers. It provides a broad selection of fairly priced low vision aids. Hundreds of items are on display and for sale including:

-closed circuit magnifying machines
-handheld & stand magnifiers
-talking watches, clocks & calculators
-large print & Braille items

This space is used for support group meetings and also houses a fully equipped kitchen for teaching.
